To choose a few, Maddie Martin was selected for the GB women’s wheelchair basketball team and competed in the 2023 IWBF European championships. With the Wheelchair Basketball Team having only been set up this season, this is a massive achievement! Liam Barker has been selected for the GB Under 23’s wheelchair Basketball Squad, which is taking place next week in Madrid - keep an eye on their social media for updates! 👀
The D1 Wheelchair Basketball Team were awarded winners in the Playoffs last month, an event that truly made history for the Rockets by being undefeated this season.
The Reading Rockets also set up the Rockets Regional Academy Basketball program which provides high level basketball opportunities for the young people of the community - teaming up with Park House School.
They had an absolutely triumphant season, and we are thrilled to have such a fantastic team of athletes sporting the classic Omini logo of Kappa.
We can't wait to see what they bring to the table next season... 🏀
