Kappa and the British Basketball League Continue their Partnership Ahead of Significant Season

The extended partnership sees iconic sportswear brand Kappa, bring its creative style to both Men’s and Women’s League kits affirming its ongoing commitment to British Basketball.

4th October 2023: Kappa, the stylish Italian sportswear brand remains a staunch supporter of the basketball sphere by proudly announcing the renewed partnership with the British Basketball League and Women’s British Basketball League as a commitment that underscores a vibrant collaboration in the world of sportswear and professional basketball.

Supported by an organisation-wide rebrand of The League, introduced under the message of ‘UNBEATABLE,’ there is a fresh look and feel through a new visual identity. The kits feature a brand-new League logo which, for the first time, will be the symbol for both the Men’s and Women’s Leagues, and new logos for all competitions that sit within both; a mark signalling the new era of British professional basketball.

British Basketball's meteoric rise over the years, especially the record-shattering attendances during the last season, has led to Sky Sports committing to show 40 League games during the 2023-24 season; led by a new broadcast team headed up by Jeanette Kwakye MBE and will feature former GB and London Lions star Ovie Soko as lead analyst.

Anticipation is quickly building towards what is hoped to be the biggest season ever, with all eyes being on London Lions and Leicester Riders to see if the two meet in the Playoff Final for an unprecedented third year in a row.  This continued partnership promises not only a fusion of style and functionality but also a testament to the boundless possibilities when iconic brands and premier sports entities unite.

The recent resolution adopted by the United Nations General Assembly historically made basketball the first team sport to have its own dedicated day of recognition due to its ability to unite people. Kappa aligns with this celebration and focuses on developing relationships further with continued partnerships with the British Basketball League, Women’s British Basketball League, and Basketball Ireland, as well as fostering new collaborations, to support the growth of this important sport.
