We are thrilled to introduce Wigan Warriors’ striking new charity third kit for the upcoming 2024 Betfred Super League Season. This eye-catching jersey is not just a testament to the club’s style on the field but also a vibrant celebration of the Wigan borough's rich community tapestry.
This season’s charity kit aims to support Wigan Warriors’ charity partner, The Brick, who are dedicated to addressing poverty and homelessness in the Wigan and Leigh borough, offering essential services such as supported accommodation, street outreach, and community support. Limited to just 1,500 shirts, £5 from every sale will be donated to the partner charity.
The inspiration behind the jersey's unique design stems from a map of the Wigan borough. Each ward is intricately showcased in its own distinctive colour, magnified to create a visually stunning pattern on the front of the shirt. This design serves as a powerful nod to the local community, visually highlighting the Wigan areas supported by the charity partner.
Wigan Warriors' Chief Executive, Kris Radlinski said: “We take great pride in collaborating with The Brick for our charity shirt in 2024. The daily efforts they dedicate to serving the Wigan community serve as a constant source of inspiration for our club, staff, and players.”
“Recognising the responsibility that comes with representing Wigan Warriors, we are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of our town’s residents. The map and design of the shirt symbolise the boroughs and communities we strive to support. We are wholeheartedly dedicated to making 2024 a remarkable year for our partnership with the incredible charity, The Brick.”
Keely Dalfen, Chief Executive of The Brick added: “We are incredibly excited about our partnership with Wigan Warriors, which cements our already strong relationship, and shared values of community and social responsibility.”
“To have the endorsement of the club is a massive honour. We are looking forward to working together in raising awareness and ultimately making a huge difference to people’s lives across the borough. Every penny raised will go towards supporting our core services to alleviate poverty and homelessness in Wigan and Leigh, helping our neighbourhoods to truly thrive.”
Kappa’s Senior Apparel Designer, Gareth Edwards expresses: “It fills me with immense pride to have crafted not just a jersey, but a powerful emblem of solidarity that drives positive change. The simple yet impactful design brings all areas of Wigan together, visually showcasing the areas supported by The Brick.”
